Tuning Up...

Testing....1...2...3

This is my new blog for musical and tech stuff. I am admittedly a fan of analog technology - however, the digital stuff is getting better all the time, especially in the field of music. I guess you could say that I'm in love with the warmth of analog, and i'm embracing the convenience of digital simultaneously. Any questions?

Ah, yes, the classic dilemma...

Speaking of which, do you still have LPs? My ex-b/f and I finally ditched them all (must have been thousands) and sold them for scrap, so to speak. Probably should have let you know they were for sale?!

Thanks, Emerald-eyes. Yeah the Sox are kicking butt... Thanks for the visit.

Elvira - yeah, I still spin vinyl! I just picked up a few LPs from the flea market a few weeks back. Mint stuff unopened, and it sounded great!

I still use LPs, cassettes, and open reel recorders (high end) on a regular basis. I'm also using MiniDisc, DAT, and of course CD's in audio and mp3 (as well as mp3pro) format.

People are blown away that I have this stuff and the knowledge of how to operate it. They don't realize that I was born in the early 70s, and that stuff was still hot.

Actually, I love it, and lots of memories are there. :) CDs just don't hold a candle to a fresh LP, and digital recording doesn't come close to a "hot" analog recording. I could ramble for hours, but you get the point.
